A longtime resident of the North Rosedale Park neighborhood in northwest Detroit, Beverly Frederick has been securing and maintaining vacant lots and homes for years, operating primarily behind the scenes in various volunteer efforts. Beverly is a fixture of the Stahelin “Mower Gang,” a group that meets once a week to mow the lawns of vacant properties, she regularly participates in Trash Talkin’, a monthly litter cleanup, and she is an avid code enforcement advocate and a block captain for North Rosedale Park Improvement Association.
